Maine-Part Two

The decision to go to Maine at the end of August was for two reasons: moving Sara into her dorm and Kevin's (my father-in-law) 50th surprise birthday party!
It was super fun . . . Sara and I were the big surprises as he thought she would be working, and I of course would be 10 hours away!

Here we are, running out the front door, screaming "surprise"

Now we're telling how in the world we pulled this off (especially since we had almost run into him 2 days before when we were getting cherry-chocolate milkshakes!--this was Sunday, I'd been in hiding since Friday!)

The birthday cake OBVIOUSLY had lots of black icing . . . Sarah and H showing off their smiles!
